History Off the Peg offers a high standard of historical costumes which are hand-made to order and are safe for children. All our costumes are designed with authenticity in mind, but are adapted for safety, comfort and practicality.

In addition, we also offer a range of artefacts and historically based activities to stimulate inquiring minds and ideal for use in primary schools. As part of Off the Page we are committed to supporting primary education. All of our products enhance the understanding of history as well as making great gifts. Currently we are offering historical costumes for a variety of periods, including, Ancient Greece; Roman Britain; Ancient Egypt and the Victorians.

History Off the Peg is part of Off the Page. Off the Page is a company of teachers, each of whom travels from school to school. Our team is committed to the development of the arts, humanities and science in education through practical learning, storytelling and drama. As well as working in hundreds of primary schools and centres in England and Europe, the company has run projects at the British Library, Stevenage Museum, Thetford Ancient House Museum, Peterborough Cathedral, and Buckden Towers.
